AFC takes out Outstanding Small Business Award for 2014

AFTER watching what a difference a podiatrist made to her sister's life, Lina Wood - founder of Active Foot Clinic and podistrist - developed a passion for helping people live active, healthy lives.

After graduating from La Trobe University, Lina travelled the world in search of the best podiatry techniques.

"I wanted to bring to the Riveirna the latest technology and effective treatments that really enable people to find comfort and well being," said the founder of Active Foot Clinic.

With the help of husband Bill, the mother of four young children established Active Foot Clinic.

Now with a team of eight highly trained and skilled podiatrists servicing 11 clinics, it's the largest podiatry clinic in the Riverina.

"We really wanted to lead the way for people in this area," Lina said. "We believe that our patients are now getting better care than is available in the cities.

"We've been able to achieve that through the advanced training program we've developed for our practitioners."

This training has attracted the best and brightest podiatrists, ensuring every patient experiences the best possible level of care.

The result has been healthy and happy feet for thousands of patients.

After being nominated by a grateful patient, Lina, Bill and the team have been recognised as the 2014 Crow Awards Most Outstanding Small

Business Award.

"We are really chuffed to have won this award," she said. "We've worked really hard for nine years to create and amazing clinic with amazing team and amazing results for our patients.”

"It's nice to be acknowledged for our efforts."
