FREE EXPERT TIPS on keeping your ACTIVE lifestyle

Matthew Angel, Podiatrist

Matthew gained an interest in health and the human body from a young age and began his studies in health and rehabilitation science, but found he had interest in podiatry as well and switched courses after his first year of study, he was then able to graduate with a Bachelor of Podiatry from Charles Sturt University, Albury.

In his third year of study Matthew completed his work placement with Active Foot Clinic in Wagga Wagga and during his time at the clinic he enjoyed treating a wide variety of patients and working with a friendly team.

Matt enjoys being able to reduce and eliminate his patients pain using simple treatments, “Whether that be improving chronic foot pain to relieving an ingrown toenail,” Matt says.

“My particular interests in podiatry lie in the range of pathologies and diseases that can affect the lower limb. The biomechanics of how the foot and lower limb work and sporting injuries are particular interests of mine too.” Matt says.

Matt went to high school in Wagga (at Kildare Catholic College) and The Rock is his home town (about 30kms from Wagga). He’s passionate about sport, particularly AFL, cricket and horse racing. He hopes to pick up where he left off with his passions now that he’s back in Wagga.
